Map of Parts of US I Like the Least

Check out this cool tornado map. It's funny that most of Missouri is on an island of relative tornadic infrequency.

i can has ds lite?

Yay, my Nintendo DS finally came! I can officially say that boredom will never be a part of my life. I've got New Super Mario Bros. right now. I haven't touched a video game in years so I'm not sure what else is good. I'll poke around.

Wonderbra for your crotch!

This is quite possibly my favorite Gizmodo post of all time. I love Australians. Not sure how I feel about their white Oprah.

I Believe in Harvey Dent

I'm kind of loving the new viral marketing campaign for Batman: The Dark Knight. See here for a few laughs.

Moving On

In the news this week, I have moved in to my new apartment. More of a house, really, but apartment sounds more college so I'll stick with that. I'd show you pictures but I lost the USB cable to my camera and it's too dark to take pictures with my cell phone. I'd go and buy lights for my room however the current weather conditions aren't cooperating. It's a nice room with its own bathroom where I met an 8 legged roommate and nearly ran screaming out of the shower. (Spiders are on my shit list.) Aside from that, the room looks pretty nice. I've got a great living room with couches! No TV yet, but that's on my list of stuff to get once Apple starts giving me the extra hours.

But Cheese Is My Anti-Drug

We are out of good names for recreational / potentially lethal drugs. Here's the wikipedia article on it's emergence.

Almost Done

I'm done with classes! I'm almost a Junior. Yikes.

Also, I have an apartment for the summer! Sorry St. Louis crew. I'll probably be visiting on the 4th of July or something so you will get to have a few good days this summer. Maybe more.

Baldwin's Voicemail

Amusing, right? Or am I just bored?

Unhooked

This has the potential to be my favorite news story this year. I can't wait to find out who's banged her. I'm betting more than half are Republicans.

He Is Risen Indeed

This was one of the pieces my professor selected to be included in a collection of our class's work currently hanging in the art library at my school. I enjoyed making it. Also included were these and that silly Valentine I made that my professor loved.

Psghetti Psalm

Today I offer my thanks and praise to the Almighty Flying Spaghetti Monster
For He is both great and good.
He foresaw my plight
And today I only work a 4 hour shift.

I am so dead right now.

Webbellion 2.0

If you haven't heard, Digg is on fire. See here for the story. And here for the laughs. And here for more.

Here's the wikipedia entry on Digg. Notice it doesn't mention the story and has been locked. The wiki entry on the code itself has been deleted and (rather ironically) still contains the code.

EDIT: I posted this at 12:50 on May 2. Any bets on how soon I get a takedown notice?

Further Procrasturbation

Oh my god yes! Free Comic Book Day is almost here! I missed out last year, but I'll be headed to Newbury comics this saturday. Because I need something else to keep me from doing work. Here's a list of the available comics.

iGoogle and Madness

I'm under a lot of stress right now. 10 pages of stress plus research. I only just decided on the topic of this paper an hour ago. (I'm already 1/10 done!) Anyway, I decided to take a study break to show and tell you how much I love Google's recently renamed iGoogle. I've used it for a while but could never figure out the last /ig bit. What's really neat (aside from the plethora of widgets available) are the themes ("styles") to make it look pretty. I'm currently in love with this adorable little fellow who plays in his pond with the frog king every day. So the moral of the story is, change your homepage.

Also, now when you create new tabs on the page, it will add widgets associated with the title of the tab. For instance, I just created a "School" tab and it added wikipedia, google translator, and a calculator widget. While many of these have since been rendered useless by Quicksilver, it is the thought that counts. (I do like and use the to do list and Shakespearean insult widgets.)
